Director, Supply Chain – Cogmedix is responsible for the leadership and management of supply chain activities including; purchasing activities to support engineering, manufacturing production and MRO.  Leads purchasing staff and works closely with supply chain to achieve departmental and organizational goals.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing Buyer assignments and management.
  • Implement measurable goals and objective for the procurement team that align with company Supply Chain objectives.
  • Refine current processes to maximize efficiency, and develop and implement supply chain strategies that support the overall company business strategy, company performance objectives, and customer expectations.
  • Develop inventory targets and strategies to optimize inventory turns while maintaining high on-time delivery rates to customers.  Maintain projections of future inventory levels and effectively manage excess and component inventories to acceptable levels.
  • Properly plan materials, place supplier orders, and systematically follow up to ensure orders are confirmed and delivery meets customer expectations. 
  • Determine new means to reduce cost and increase profits
  • Propose and implement logistical concepts for increased delivery frequency, lot size reduction, reduced warehouse space requirements, and improved inventory turns.
  • Ensure Component price negotiations and PPV performance meet company expectations.
  • In conjunction with Director, Commodity Management; develop and manage suppliers to support customer requirements and company objectives while optimizing Coghlin Companies Preferred Suppliers.
  • Manage all related material logistics.
  • Monitor supplier non-conformance details to ensure supplier’s performance meets requirements.
  • First point of escalation for supplier performance issues.
  • Provide technical direction, support and oversight to supply chain and production personnel in the enhancement and maintenance of ERP functions.



  • Must have a Materials / Purchasing experience with 5+ years’ upward experience.
  • Experience in an ISO 13485 and FDA CGMP compliant environment preferred
  • Commitment to compliance adherence.
  • Management record of success in dynamic fast-paced operations.
  • Excellent Communications, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior Analytical skills and fluency with Excel and EPR systems.
  • History of successful cost reduction and inventory management initiatives.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.


Working Environment

  • Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.


Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand up for extended amounts of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.  Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
