The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of Human Resources to develop/enforce company policies and procedures. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and effective counsel to management on all HR issues, including performance feedback, progressive discipline, employee relation concerns, and policy and procedure interpretation and application, and employment law.
  • Assist in employee communications, change management initiatives, and oversee employee engagement.
  • Act to facilitate good communication throughout the organization.
  • Administer various human resource procedures for all company personnel.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Conduct new-employee orientations when needed.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, as required.
  • Comply with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ human resource experience. 
  • Organized and methodical in approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Understanding of legalities of business law in relation to HR and employee employment rights.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of ADP, a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.


Working Environment

  • Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.


Physical Requirements

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation and ability to travel to other company locations.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
