Low Cost Product Engineering
Columbia Tech provides mechanical, electrical, and software engineering of complete products or subassemblies. Additional services include finite element analysis, HALT, HASS, safety and compliance certifications, optics, and RF. Columbia Tech’s engineers assure a cost effective solution with Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and cost reduction services oftentimes removing 10-30% of costs from customers’ existing products.
Inventory and Materials Management
Columbia Tech has a strong materials management capability to purchase components and produce a substantial number of pilot units prior to the official manufacturing stage. Our development costs are low because our objectives are aligned with our customers: getting the product into manufacturing. Consequently, Columbia Tech works to limit scope creep and drives the supply chain aggressively for delivery dates that far exceed industry averages. Complex frames have been turned in 3-4 weeks.
