Veterans Inc. is a Worcester-based charity and a national leader in the effort to end homelessness among veterans. Their transition rate of 85% is the highest national average. They have been helping veterans and their families since 1990 with more than 60,000 service members helped out of homelessness so far. They incorporate job training, employment services, health care, and supportive services such as transportation and legal aid.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) is a nonprofit organization that began in 1980 to provide scholarship aid and educational counseling to children of Special Operations personnel killed in the line of duty. They provide services throughout the US, ensuring full financial assistance to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel.

The golf outing took place on a beautiful, sunny day and the Cogmedix team enjoyed spending quality time with great people for a great cause. Over 75 people attended the event that day, which ended with a massive barbecue at Flip Flops Grill. This was the first time Cogmedix attended the event, and the team was honored to help bring awareness to three profoundly positive charities. Flip Flops’ owner and host of the annual event, Nic Viapiano, is an Army veteran who fully supports the efforts of Veterans Inc., the SOWF, and WWP. It was a wonderful day for everyone, made even more so with the knowledge that the raised funds would go to excellent causes.
