Coghlin Companies’ Cogmedix is proud to announce that Scott Cook, Director of Quality and Compliance, has been named Society of Quality Assurance President. The SQA is a professional membership organization whose mission is to promote and advance an understanding of the pr inciples of quality assurance in human, animal and environmen tal health research.Through his work as Director of Quality and Compliance with Cogmedix, a medical device manufacturer, Cook is well equipped for the privilege of serving as SQA President. Cook has been involved in the organization for years, serving in the New England Regional Chapter as Vice President, President and Past President. He has over 18 years of biopharmaceutical experience, working for Astra Pharmaceuti cal, Biogen, Primedica, Charles River and Cogmedix, in positions involving cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and GCP (Good Clinical Practices) regulations.

He continued, “As President, I look forward to continuing to strengthen the society’s specialty sections and regional chapters. Cook will be able to transfer quality control knowledge and expertise gained in medical device contract manufacturing at Cogmedix to his work as President of the SQA. Additionally, his work and collaboration at the SQA will offer valuable knowledge and resources that Cook can refer to, ensuring that qual ity control and medical device compliance at Cogmedix will continue to excel.
