What is the 5C Program?

The Coghlin Companies Caring Corporate Citizen (5C) Program was introduced in 2016 to further expand the mission of Coghlin Companies to foster community involvement, volunteerism, and philanthropy. We are highly passionate about giving back and are invested in helping our Caring Associates support charities that are important to them. Through the 5C program, Caring Associates can receive a company-sponsored donation to present to a non-profit organization of their choice and are recognized for their involvement in the community.

Charitable Recipient Selection Process

Caring Associates are encouraged to nominate 501(C)(3) organizations they work with through a simple online application process. They are asked to share how they have been involved with the charity, what their core mission is and how the organization would benefit from a sizeable donation. Each quarter, one application is selected via blind draw to receive a $1,000 donation from Coghlin Companies. Winners are then able to present a check to representatives from the charity they chose and are acknowledged for the work they do in our community.

Boy Scouts of America, Heart of New England Council

Boy Scouts of America presented with 5C donation check from Coghlin CompaniesThe most recent beneficiary of the 5C Program was the Boy Scouts of America, Heart of  New England Council, nominated by Cogmedix Caring Associate, Brendon McGovern. The Heart of New England Council works to fulfill the mission of the Boy Scouts of America by involving all eligible youth and their families in a comprehensive, year-round program. The program includes leadership development for engaged citizenship, challenging outdoor adventures, and the creation of life-long habits of cheerful service to others. This particular donation supported the “Campership Program”, which helps fund camp scholarships for youth in need of financial assistance.

Coghlin Companies is proud to support this great cause, and we thank Brendon for his community involvement!
