A Columbia Tech truck arrived at South High Community School in Worcester to find students ready to help unload many boxes and bags of clothing generously donated by Coghlin Companies associates, their friends and families.  Inside the school is Andy’s Attic, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides for families, especially those in need, the ability to have warm and comfortable clothing so that they can advance in everyday life with the help of the generous student volunteers at South High Community School.

Christine Foley, Andy’s Attic Coordinator – and South High teacher, left her class in the hands of a reliable helper to oversee the unloading of the clothing.  As one of the students looked on, noticing the large boxes complete with Andy’s Attic signs on the side, he said, “I had no idea we were this big!”

Founded in 2011 in honor of 16 year old Andrew Reese whose life tragically ended in a car accident in 2010, Andy’s Attic is a wonderful organization that helps others as Andrew was known for doing.  They are run completely by student volunteers who help during their free periods and after school, and they currently donate a season’s worth of clothing to 50-70 people each week! Coghlin Companies is proud to support this great local charity, and looks forward to donating to Andy’s Attic again in the future!
